Experiences of Norfolk Bridal Make Up and Image Specialists

Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a great summer. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in South Africa which was a twenty fifth anniversary present to ourselves. The Safari at Elandela Lodge was amazing.

The following is a reading that Nicola kindly sent to me a long time ago. I hope you enjoy reading it  and the run up to Christmas.

I am looking forward to helping Sarah this Saturday.

Marriage is a dynamic process of discovery

Marriage is a journey, not an arrival;

In Marriage, being the right person is as important as finding the right person;

Marriage is starting to love, over and over again.

Marriage is a life’s work;

Marriage is an art………. And like any creative process, it requires active though and effort;

We have to learn how to share on many different levels;

We need to practice talking from the heart,

And understanding attitudes as well as words.

Giving generously and receiving graciously are talents that are available to anyone;

But all these skills need to be developed, if the marriage picture that we paint

Is to be anything approaching the masterpiece intended.

Hi,

Spoke to Caroline of Bunches & Munches of Hethersett, here in Norfolk. She had a really good tip.

A bride had left her home to go to the church, car had broken down. Everyone had switched there phone off so that no one could contact the groom to explain.

Bride turned up about 45 minutes late. The tip being for one responsible person to keep there phone on and everyone to have his/her number thus cutting down on the worry factor.

Have a great week. Hope the weather keeps fine.

Hi,

Hope all your wedding plans are going well.

Hints and tips from brides relating to the brides dress. Please try the dress on in the shop and move around in them. One bride found out nearly too late that she had a hoop under her dress and when she walked it caused the dress to bunch up making it difficult to walk. The dress had to be shortened at the last moment.

Another bride suggested practising kneeling down in your dress. Falling over at the alter when you overbalance in your dress is not a good look. So please practise walking & kneeling etc whatever in your wedding dress before its too late to help your day will go smoothly.

Have a great time.

Hi,

Michelle Payne of the Upstairs Gallery, Beccles who is a Lifecaster and Artist is speaking at a charity lunch at Drayton Old Lodge Thursday July 10th from 12.00 noon. I am privileged to also be there to help people with their make-up challenges. Its amazing how good you feel when you are wearing the right make-up for you. Michelle signed ‘The Boudica Within’ book for me months ago with the statement - ‘Always be an inspiration’. It will be a really great and inspirational lunch.

Have a great week.

Hi,

Just received this lovely e-mail from Mother of the bride thought it says everything that needs to be said:-

“I just wanted to drop you a line to say an enormous thank you for your excellent work on Saturday and helping to make her day so special.

As you know I don’t do make-up - my make up on Saturday was so natural and lasted all day.  It really completed my outfit and I looked so good my mother didn’t recognise me!

Also a big thank you for helping her to get ready at the last moment when time just seemed to run away from us and I knew that we were leaving her in capable hands -  She looked so lovely.

Best wishes”

Have a great week.

Make-up and Image Specialists Creating Fabulous Faces

Hi ,

Tuesday morning this week I was asked to be on Future Radio. A local radio for Norwich, Norfolk.

The programme was a Community Chest and was focussing on people getting married. The idea being that I would give some hints and tips with some stories of what to avoid. I got there and Alison Turner normal presenter was on holiday, so I was the first guest ever of the new presenter. I enjoyed the experience. We also talked about how the men have to look after there skin but often do not admit to having a routine.  A spot on the end of your nose does not look good on the photos…… It is just as important for the grooms to have fabulous faces  and look great. It helps the confidence level as well.

Have a great week.

Make-up & Image Specialists

Hi,

Hope everyone is enjoying the fantastic weather. Weather is the one thing brides & Grooms cannot buy for there special day.

Mother of the Bride this week openly admitted she had a good beauty routine looked after her skin including regular facial treatments. She was not keen on having her make-up done but everyone else was being included in the consultation so wanted to be included. She did not like wearing foundation and voiced other challenges and dislikes. I suggested that we do the complete makeover and adapt to what she felt happiest with for on the day. End result she really liked the whole experience and everyone said she looked fabulous. So for Fabulous Faces where first impression are worth a second look.

Have a great week.

Hi,

Had a phone call last week from a lady who’s daughter had organised her wedding ( all of it ) in 4 days.

The wedding is later this year but she got everything booked including her make -up of course. Well done to her.

I am with National Guild of Professional Wedding Services stand at Dunstan Hall, Norwich this weekend. We have Cascades Chocolate Fountain there to tempt you. We are offering to get in touch with other members of the guild for you and get them to call you to make life easier. A one stop shop.

The National Guild is non profit making organisation, you have to be in business for 2 years and have references and be accepted by the committee. You need the best for your wedding day .

Hi,

Went to ladies group evening at Jarrolds in Norwich Norfolk recently. There was a mini fashion show also Corinne from the lingerie department said a few words about bras and how they should fit. I had been to Rigby-and-Peller in London a few days before and what she said seemed to match what they said, so I was very impressed. Worth a visit.

Please make sure you take your underwear to the dress fitting. I have seen a little rosebud decoration on the underwear ruin the outline of a beautiful dress.

Have a great week.
